What Do Sovereign Digital Applications Look Like?
Artificial intelligence has long been part of our everyday lives - time to get to know it better! There is a new experience space in the exhibition rooms (Hall 6) in Ladestrasse: the MISSION KI Innovation and Quality Center (IQZ), which brings visitors closer to artificial intelligence in an exciting and interactive way. How does AI work? Where can it be put to good use? What makes it trustworthy? You can find answers to these and many other questions in the special exhibition until the end of the year 2025.
The "Digital Sovereignty" experience space is being implemented by the MobilitätDigital initiative, through which the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) is strengthening digital competitiveness. MobilitätDigital is a project of the acatech Foundation. The Deutsches Technikmuseum is a partner in the project.

Using VR headsets, you can view an accident from different perspectives and better understand how critical traffic situations arise. Two AI-generated avatars provide information about digital sovereignty, and you can test your image recognition skills against the AI. Two additional use cases demonstrate how AI improves posture in the workplace and how it can help protect data privacy in public spaces.
In this way, data and AI applications transform from abstract concepts into tangible experiences.

The Experience Space showcases how Germany is striving to develop an innovative approach to using data and AI in the mobility of the future: open, innovation-oriented, and at the same time values-based.
Admission to the Digital Sovereignty Experience Space is free and accessible via the outdoor area on Ladestraße. Museum visitors can walk directly through the exhibitions on Ladestraße to the Experience Space.
