Our Collections
The Deutsches Technikmuseum collects and preserves objects from all areas of the cultural history of technology. As a result, it has amassed a collection of approximately 150,000 items, characterized by its enormous diversity and uniqueness. In the museum’s current exhibitions, our visitors can view around 4,000 objects; approximately 500 exhibits are on loan to other museums.
However, the majority of the museum’s collections are stored in the depots. These objects are not only available to researchers for scholarly purposes; they also serve as a resource for developing new exhibitions. Furthermore, our goal is to gradually make all of our collections accessible online!
