What is this Jugendkulturkarte?
Starting on 1 February 2023, all Berlin residents between the ages of 18 and 23 will have access to a “culture credit” worth 50 euros. These young adults will be invited to redeem the credit in the form of tickets to roughly 200 cultural venues in Berlin. This includes everything from visits to museums, theatres and opera houses to literary readings, chill movies nights and exciting club nights. The Jugendkulturkarte encourages young adults to (re)discover Berlin’s multifaceted cultural scene and experience it live and on site – regardless of any individual budget constraints.
Here’s how it works
Starting on 1 February 2023, young adults between the ages of 18 and 23 who are officially registered as residing in Berlin during the period of the culture card campaign from 1 February to 30 April 2023 are invited to sign up online on a website created especially for the card. After registering online, they will have to pick up their Jugendkulturkarte in person by 28 February at one of roughly 40 public libraries in Berlin. Cardholders will then have until 30 April 2023 to redeem their 50-euro culture credit at the box offices and advanced-ticket offices of the various participating cultural venues in Berlin.
Kulturprojekte Berlin are implementing the Jugendkulturkarte campaign on the initiative of Berlin’s Senate Department for Culture and Europe and in cooperation with numerous cultural establishments in the city. Like many young people today, several of these cultural venues are suffering under the weight of the multiple crises and challenges we are facing at this moment in time. The aim of the Jugendkulturkarte is to foster access to culture among young adults, while simultaneously providing a boost to the cultural sector.
Where do I get the Jugendkulturkarte?
The Jugendkulturkarte Berlin cannot be picked up at our museum. You will have to pick up your Jugendkulturkarte in person by 28 February at one of roughly 40 public libraries in Berlin. You will find more information on the website of the Jugendkulturkarte project:

Good news: Pick-up period extended!
You registered by 28 February 2023 and missed the pick-up? Pick up your Jugendkulturkarte Berlin until 15 March 2023 at Podewil in 10179 Berlin-Mitte, Klosterstraße 68. Pick-up is possible Monday through Friday, 9 - 17 (but only if you already registered for the card).
Please come directly, with your card, to our museum to use the Jugendkulturkarte. You cannot book a free Online Ticket for the museum via the Jugendkulturkarte Berlin.
